Mining Escape Chutes deliver fast, reliable emergency egress when every second counts. Purpose-built for the harshest mining environments, these vertical and inclined escape systems provide operators with a controlled, safe descent from height during fire, smoke, mechanical failure or cab-reversal incidents. Suitable for shovels, loaders, haul trucks, draglines and even fixed plant, each chute is constructed from flame-resistant, heavy-duty materials and deploys instantly when needed.
Designed for rapid evacuation, the multi-layer braking system allows for smooth, controlled descent, dramatically reducing escape time compared to ladders or stair access. Compact and simple to retrofit, Mining Escape Chutes require minimal maintenance, meet strict WHS and industry safety standards, and give personnel and management peace of mind knowing a proven escape route is always ready.
Since 2002, Mining Escape Chutes has been a leader in vertical and inclined escape chute design for mining. Their systems are installed on shovels, draglines, loaders and haul trucks around the world and are built to meet OEM and safety compliance standards. As a dealer, we supply a solution that is proven by Tier 1 miners, quick to deploy, easy to install and maintain, and designed for real emergency situations.
When fire, smoke, rollover or mechanical failure occurs, every second matters. These chute systems give crews the safest and fastest way to get to the ground in an emergency.
Installed on elevated cabs, towers, or mobile mining equipment, the escape chutes are securely mounted and designed to deploy within seconds during an emergency. Once activated, the chute releases and drops cleanly from its mounting point. The operator or crew member steps in and begins their descent. The internal braking layers and chute design provide a controlled, safe slide to ground level, with descent speed influenced by body position, such as spreading legs and arms to slow down or keeping tucked in to move faster.
At ground level, the person exits the chute and moves to a safe muster area. Because the chute is fully enclosed and resistant to hazards like fire and smoke, it provides a reliable escape option when stairs or ladders cannot be used during a critical incident.
