When it comes to return on investment – the Sleipner really is a winner!
If an item of equipment isn’t going to pay its way or make improvements to workplace safety then there really has to be a good reason for having it.
One thing that can categorically be said about Sleipner’s excavator and bulldozer transport systems is that they absolutely do pay their way. And what’s more, they add to site safety as they’re exceptionally easy to load and unload and their stability is unsurpassable.
Sites using an excavator that requires occasional relocation find them immensely useful as everyone knows the risk of damaging under carriage componentry by walking an excavator. Furthermore, these are easier to use than a float and comparatively maintenance free. FMG first installed their unit in 2012 and still use it today. In that time it has made hundreds of relocations. Equipment Placement has subsequently delivered 14 various sized excavator moving units at mine-sites around the country, plus we have supplied one in Indonesia and another in Mongolia.
They really do represent big savings to a site because heavy track equipment can easily be transported from one area to another and the equipment can be easily taken to a workshop for maintenance. Furthermore their use greatly reduces road damage.Another aspect of making dozers easy to relocate, is that it may be possible for your site to actually need fewer dozers – and that, has to represent a seriously big saving!
